Description:

The Internship Coordinator maintains all internship functions in the Center. They will:

  • Create, schedule, and post internship advertisements;
  • Recruit students for internships
  • Plan and host an internship panel each semester
  • Schedule internship visits and interviews with local, state, and congressional offices
  • Keep on top of employer office application dates
  • Collect and organize intern applications
  • Schedule intern candidate interviews
  • Reach out to new employers to find additional opportunities
  • Keep intern databases current

Qualifications:

  • Having served an internship is a high priority
  • Experience with spreadsheets and Google Drive
  • Excellent writing skills
  • The ability to create important professional correspondence is a must
  • Attention to detail in managing appointments and employer campus visits
  • Experience with interviewing job candidates
  • Familiarity with the internal structure and workings of the Leavitt Center
